DESCRIPTION:If people skimp on their inner work\, their outer work will suffer as well.\nParker Palmer\n  \nLiving truthfully and faithfully while serving others has become increasingly difficult and lonely nowadays. In public ministry or leadership\, we can more or less hide behind our personality and performance\, but underneath this\, so many of us simply long to be heard and recognized as persons with unique stories\, questions\, and callings. It is as we pay attention to our lives that an awareness of the Spirit’s life begins to develop and deepen within. \nThis three-session course offers an interactive Zoom experience rooted not in more tactics but in depth\, companionship\, and listening that renews meaning. Together we’ll tend the inner life that sustains spiritual leadership in a divided and fractured world. \nApril 22: The Self You Lead From\nIdentity\, Fatigue\, and Listening to Your Life \nApril 29: The Company You Keep\nBelonging\, Friendship\, and the End of Going it Alone \nMay 6: The World You’re Called to Love\nLeadership\, Sacred Purpose\, and Courage Along the Way \n  \n  \n \nKeith Anderson\, D.Min.\, is a Faculty Associate for Spirituality and Vocation at VantagePoint3 and President Emeritus of Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He is the author of several books\, including his most recent: On Holy Ground: Your Story of Identity\, Belonging and Sacred Purpose (Wipf & Stock\, 2024). His other works include Reading Your Life’s Story (IVP\, 2016)\, A Spirituality of Listening (IVP\, 2016)\, and Spiritual Mentoring (IVP\, 1999). In his writing\, teaching\, and mentoring\, Keith seeks to set a table for people looking to enter the “amazing inner sanctuary of the soul” in the most ordinary and extraordinary moments of life. \n  \n \nRobert Loane serves as President of VantagePoint3 Ministries\, seeking to both learn and encourage a more relational way of life and ministry. He is co-author of Deep Mentoring: Guiding Others on Their Leadership Journey (IVP\, 2012) and A Mentoring Guide: Christ. Conversation. Companionship (VP3\, 2019). He has been the lead writer of The Journey process and other VP3 processes for the last 20 years. Join like-minded friends as we hold space to learn\, explore\, and encourage one another toward a more relational way of life and ministry. \n\nHeld at beautiful Green Bay Bible Camp (West Kelowna\, British Columbia) beginning with dinner (5:30 pm) on Monday\, October 5 and ending just before noon on Wednesday\, October 7. Full schedule to come soon. \n\n  \nThe guides for our Gathering:\nJim Matthies has been married to his wife\, Janna\, for 29 years\, and together they have three adult children. For the past 28 years\, they have made their home in Indianapolis\, where Jim has served as a local church pastor. Most recently\, he has been part of Common Ground Church\, serving as Formation Pastor for the past 17 years\, overseeing both formation and missions. \nJim delights in retreating with God\, backpacking\, exploring new cities and countries\, watching baseball\, and engaging in thoughtful conversations about politics and current events. He brings to our gathering a deep joy in guiding others to expect God’s presence and to live with greater freedom and deeper roots. \n  \n  \n \nPamela Edwards\, PhD\, serves VantagePoint3 Ministries by thinking about best practices for Adult Learning and Growth\, with a particular eye on developmentally minded leaders. She co-authored A Mentoring Guide: Christ. Conversation. Companionship (VP3\, 2019)\, as well as the recently refreshed Journey process. \nPam and her husband\, Teryl\, have been married 40 years.
