Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses …
let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,
looking to Jesus… (Hebrews 12:1-2)
I was encouraged by those who joined me (both physically and financially) on the National Day of Prayer for my faithful run. We all need friends on our journey, I am blessed with many, including VP3.
Mick Conlin, Sioux Falls SD
I was surprised by how hard it was to walk every day. I realized how easily I give myself a pass on things. Yet, about half way through the three months, I realized I was looking forward to the time with God and others.
Pam Edwards, Dysart IA
The VantagePoint3 material came into my life at the perfect time and gave me an amazing perspective towards how people gradually deepen their faith in Christ. It has impacted the entire way my church views discipleship.
Tom Rich, Noblesville IN
Thank you for the contributions to VP3, this allows them to continue to help others develop and strengthen their faith. Dad (Randy) would want us to keep pushing ourselves to be who God wants us to be.
Liam Reese, Sioux Falls SD
We grew much more proximal to the Lord’s heart creating more passion and energy for our own marriage and for ministry. Our run created space for deep and meaningful conversations wherever we interacted.
Grant & Wendy Delcourt, Kelowna BC
During my walk/ride I was focused on Randy, VP3, and their impact on my life and ministry. What a privilege to continue to participate in this amazing adventure that Randy envisioned through the ministry of VP3.

About 20 years ago, I ran my first marathon…my first and only marathon…and it was a significant time when I knew the Lord was saying to me that I want to use you in unique way for my purposes. That same summer that I ran the marathon, I went to Fuller to start my doctoral process which became the recipe book and groundwork for VantagePoint3. I was on a run about eight months ago, 20 years later, and I just felt the Lord saying, “Randy, it’s time for you to run another marathon. I may want to whisper something to you.” (May 2016)
Randy Reese, Founder of VantagePoint3 (1962–2016)
In June 2016, over 70 people sponsored Randy Reese in his Manitoba Marathon up in Winnipeg. He had a keen sense that through this marathon the Lord wanted him to pay close attention to “the race he was running” (Hebrews 12:1–2). He captured his thoughts after the marathon in a blog entry entitled A Faithful Run. It proved to be such a meaningful experience for Randy and for us as an organization, we created A Faithful Run to provide others the same opportunity to be challenged personally by the Lord and to help contribute to the life-deepening and empowering work of VantagePoint3.
