A Mentoring Round Table Prayer
For all the different stuff on our plates and stirring in our hearts, Father, we ask for a generous dose of your Spirit’s care and nurture.
We recognize very clearly as we look around this table of folks, seeing face-upon-face of individuals who know deeply your blessing in their lives, may these people have a keen sense of being a blessing wherever they are placed.
Lord, give us an imagination for what being-a-blessing means uniquely for each of us in this crazy and difficult year.
May we, oh so humbly, be mountain guides along the way, rather than map-makers, simply explaining things.Give us the courage to continue to walk well with others.
And, Lord, we ask by your Spirit, that we may know your kind companionship in stunning and transformative ways.
Thanks for faithfully being among us, Lord. May we be good stewards with your Spirit’s shoulder taps in our lives.
